In the Spring of 2023, Penderbrook was accepted to participate in Fairfax County’s Charge Up pilot program. This program is set up to support HOAs and condominium owner associations with the exploration and installation of electric vehicle charging stations by providing up to $5,000 in grants. Penderbrook was 1 of 9 communities (out of 27) selected and due to the community being further along in their EV exploration process, Penderbrook was a perfect fit to move forward with. “On top of the benefit of financial assistance, we will work as partners with the county to review and refine program documents and processes so that more communities can benefit in the future. This is a great opportunity for us to provide residents an alternative, continue to provide our residents quality, up-to-date amenities, and help the county strive for a greener future,” says Stuart Moriarty, Penderbrook Resident Services Coordinator and Cardinal Management Group Winning Team member. “With the Board of Director’s recent approval to move forward, we are so close to having shovels in the ground!”
